Levi's first marriage was to Malvina Lincoln (daughter of Willard Lincoln)

Levi came to Michigan with his parents from New York. They first settled in Dover Township. Later Levi  purchased land in Rome Township, Lenawee County, and was a substantial farmer there for many years.  He died December 11, 1895 at the age of 70 years.Malvina died about 1863.

Malvina is daughter of Willard (died December 25, 1875) and Aithesa(sp) Lincoln.  Brother and sister include: Sylvincent(sp)(age 18 on 1850 census), Mary, Thaddeus, Emory, Polly, Julie.

Their oldest daughter, Rosetta, married (September 28, 1885) John H. Snyder (born February 3, 1863) son of Adam (Snider/Snyder) and Catherine (Jubenville)(died June 29, 1876) of Ottawa County, Ohio.  Adam was born in Kentucky died as a result of field services in Civil War, Indiana Infantry E 29.  There is an article in the 'Memoirs of Lenawee County'  pages 412-413 on John Snyder with many family references.

Their oldest son, Richard V. Howard married Martha Lowry. From this union were four daughters, Bertha (married Burton, Bert, Lydel); Myrtle married first a Gillett and then Charles, Chuck, Tomrell; Hazel (married Leo Wood; and one son Roy B married Viva Miller.

Roy B. eventually moved to Freeman Township, Clare County, on the John A. and Edith Burns Farm

Levi's 2nd wife was Emily

William D. Howard (born 1870) is son of Levi and Emily.

The 1920 Census in Adrian, Michigan show wife Mary A. (42), daughters Vinata M (16), Marita F (14), and Bernice (7).  Another daughter Rose appears on the1910 Census.

Mary A. Howard was  married after William's death to a Mr. Knechtel.  When she died her obituary stated that she was survived by two daughters  Mrs. Rose Myers of Detroit and Mrs. Bernice Graham of Ypsilanti.  And two daughters preceeded her in death: Vanita Miller and Marita Miller and one sister Mrs. Louise Barager.
